Production Log

23rd October -  24th October 2010

Final preparations for the launch like small updates to several pages and updating the Offline Menu System section have been done these two days. One more day left for release!

22nd October 2010

And as promised, all download links have been updated. We are almost ready to launch now!

21st October 2010

Today, Prepare for Battle (2009) has been added to the Miscellaneous Games. I have also got the file links from DJ Reidak, so the download links will be updated tomorrow. Four days left until the re-release!

14th October - 20th October 2010

It took much longer than expected, mostly due to unexpected issues with Command the Mahri - The Final Challenge (2007) and Battle for Power (2008) and also because it turns out the files which I though were already done were missing something, but today all files are done and uploaded. Now I can finally relax down a bit from the project! We hope we will be able to launch on 25th October, as promised!

13th October 2010

Huge progress behind the scenes! All the updated game files up to, including Piraka Attack (2006), have been finalized. I must say they are much better than the old files. The rest will come in the next two days. I have also made the shocking discovery that Voya Nui Online Game (2006) was released before Matoran Escape (2006)! I will have to change the order of the game banners then. I cannot believe I did not notice it before! Well, better a late change than no change.

10th October 2010

Today´s progress is a minor addition to the text for the Home section and a restructuring of the links. They are now called Related and Recommeded Links with a sub-section called BIONICLE Network. There will be updates to that section but they won´t be listed here as they are not an actual part of the site itself, but a seperate project. Check the section, starting tomorrow, for details. We also have a nice fancy Discussion link linking to the BZPower topic, though.

9th October 2010

And the Production Log did have to wait two days to be updated after all, but it has been done. Unfortunately, that is all we have today, but there has been some major progress going on even further behind the scenes. To explain more clearly, we have a new file host which will enable you to download the files with only one click and to get the latest download statistics LIVE. More information coming soon!

7th October 2010

As I promised, the rest of the game pages has been updated. But today´s updates consist of far more than that. First of all, the Offline Menu System has been pushed before The Online Games on the navigation, which has got the Download Statistics page as a sub-section. We have also created the new User Service and Support section acting as a category for the Help Center and Contact Us sections, which have been updated as well. The News and Announcements, Update Log and Production Log sections have been out under a new category called News and Logs and updated, although the section you are just reading will have to wait until tomorrow. Another minor update: I have changed the footer text colour to fit the header and navigation. Yet I can definitely not say we have not done anything today!

6th October 2010

Unfortunately, we only have the updated game pages for Voya Nui Online Game (2006) and Inika Island Assault (2006) today, but it is still better than nothing. Look forward to the rest coming tomorrow! Wait, you cannot see this yet anyway.

5th October 2010

Huge progress today! Not only has the rest of the game banners been done, but there also been some minor changes to other sections and, most important of all, all game pages up to Matoran Escape have been updated! I can't wait to do the rest as they are turning out pretty well.

4th October 2010

And today we have got all game banners from Free The Band (2006) to BIONICLE: Mistika (2008), although minor changes may still occur, especially with the Inika Island Assault banner. The rest will be done tomorrow.

3rd October 2010

Not so much progres today, unfortunately, just some minor tweaks with titles and links and the new banner for Piraka Attack (2006). Much more banners coming soon!

2nd October 2010

After a long break, the upgrade is officially beginning today, with huge updates. The new design has been applied, and the Home, The Online Games and Offline Menu System sections have already taken on the new page layout. Four of the new game banners have already been made as well: those for Mata Nui Online Game (2001), The Battle for Mata Nui (2002), Mata Nui Online Game II: The Final Chronicle (2003) and Stop the Morbuzakh! (2004). More coming soon!

11th September 2010

Unfortunately, I did not have more time than to do nothing more than some minor tweaks with the buttons in the navigation bar. Well, maybe next time they will be done.

10th September 2010

We have some changes with the footer colours and images today, as well as some tweaks with the navigation bar. You probably won´t see the latter as it is now since I will have to change one thing about it again.

9th September 2010

Today´s progress mainly consists of minor changes with the fonts so that the new site will have the same font everywhere. The design is almost finalized now!

8th September 2010

Further progress with the design has been done again. Not only has it been sophisticated, but the favicon has been created as well. The more I develop it, the more I am convinced you will like it much more than the current one. I will post some kind of teaser in the near future, too. Stay tuned for future updates!

7th September 2010

I have been busy the last week, but today I finally progressed again. The new logo and website headers are done, and the design is progressing greatly. The first sample page is done, and if you are creative enough, you can find it. I cannot wait until I can continue working on this ambitious undertaking!

29th August 2010

I can´t believe it is time to write in the Production Log again, but here we are. First steps regarding the design have been done on another URL (it is not that hard to find), although it has been worked out mentally already. We have also tested a feature that makes links more comfortable to use, but with few results as of now. That doesn´t mean the overall progress is slow, though, as it isn´t: look forward to more status updates soon!

3rd November 2009

And finally, after 32 days of work, taking the remaining screenshots today and re-naming the News section to News and Announcements, the BIONICLE Online Games Archive 2.0 is not BETA anymore (notice the site title) and finalized- for now. I am very proud of my work, and it was very fun most of the time. Please tell me if something is wrong with the downloads. Although it is done for now, please keep checking back, for more features are going to be added, one of them hopefully very soon!
A special thanks to JrMasterModelBuilder for his ever-present help and support and of course BIONICLEsector01 for much of the information and many images.

Enjoy the BIONICLE Online Games Archive 2.0, and please- do not just use it for downloading the games.

EDIT: Renamed the News and Announcements to News/Announcements because of problems with different screen resolutions.

2nd November 2009

Some time-consuming progress today: Check out all game pages up to Inika Island Assault (except for The Battle for Mata Nui and Stop the Morbuzakh!) and you will know what I mean. Today I will (hopefully) make the rest, and finally post the download links. Wish me luck!

1st November 2009

As I write this down, the files are still uploading, so it won´t be done before tomorrow. I hope I will be able to finish it tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, since I had some problems today which stopped me from much further progress. I hope that won´t be the case tomorrow. And I apologize for the longer wait!

31th October 2009

The ZIP files are all finally done, just waiting to be uploaded (and downloaded). Luckily, I did not have to scrap any more games than those two I already did. I will upload the files tomorrow, though, also because I have yet one more thing to do on all pages (or just some, I have yet to decide)- you will see tomorrow, when I will hopefully finally finish the BIONICLE Online Games Archive 2.0. Until then- Happy Halloween!

30th October 2009

Much more progress today than yesterday! All ZIP files are done except for the Mistika game, VNOG, BIONICLE: Battle Zone, Sea Survival, BIONICLE Mahri: Hewkii and Mistika: Swamp of Secrets. Also, I apologize, but I had to scrap Toa Personality Test and The Legend Continues because I couldn´t get them to work properly yet, although I might add them at a later point. I might also have to scrap others of the Miscellaneous Games I have mentioned above if I don´t get them to work- let´s hope I will. Also, if you have not noticed, I have renamed the The Games site to The Online Games- fits more to the content in my opinion. If everything goes right, I will get it done by Sunday or the beginning of next week.

29th October 2009

Today I did not have time for more than the recovery of stats walthrough for VNOG and the Inika Island Assault ZIp file, sorry. Don´t worry, though, I will still try to get it done this week.

28th October 2009

There has been a lot of progress behind the scenes today! All ZIP files up to Matoran Escape are done waiting to be uploaded, although I will have to add the Matoran Escape boss level files as soon as JrMasterModelBuilder gets them from Les Tanukis (I hope he will). I will probably make the rest of the files in the next two or three days, so this is almost done and you will be able to download soon enough! It is also today that it is exactly one month ago that this project started, and it is becoming much better than I would have ever hoped it would. See you tomorrow!

27th October 2009

At last: The last page has been written today! In the following days you won´t see any significant website updates, but I will write in the Production Journal what I will do each day on the ZIP files. I hope I will get it done this week. This is reaching its final stage, so I am very excited!

26th October 2009

Just one page left! I have just written the text and everything for Glatorian Arena- the first game which you can already download now from LEGO.com, by the way. Today I will make the last page: Miscellaneous Games. I just don´t know yet from which game to take the gameplay screenshot and how to make the banner. You will see tomorrow.

25th October 2009

Just two pages left! That is, Glatorian Arena and Miscellaneous Games. Today´s update was big: First of all, the final background is done and I think it has become great. In addition to the background, I have also assigned a Onu-Metru Archives sector code to this site: 64ITI35 (it´t leet!). I have also written the text for BIONICLE: Mistika, added a tiny thing to the MNOG text, and added links to play the game online on the pages of the games which are still online on BIONICLE.com or the producer´s website, as is the case with Stop the Morbuzakh!.
And yesterday the site has reached a milestone: 370 pageviews! I would have never expected such a big success! Thanks to all of you for your support. I hope you will like the final result, which I aim to get done by the end of next week.

24th October 2009

As I told you yesterday, I have decided to write the article for The Battle for Mata Nui first. I hope it is alright, I specially like the banner for it. Please contact me if you know the name of the developers and the lowest necessary Adobe Shockwave Player version, though (EDIT: Thanks to JrMasterModelBuilder for telling me this, although I still need the developer name). Today I have also fixed one minor thing in the Download section of Stop the Morbuzakh! and the Technical details section of Battle for Power. Tomorrow I will write the BIONICLE: Mistika page with banner and gameplay screenshot. See you then!

EDIT: Thanks to JrMasterModelBuilder, I have managed to make the background stay when scrolling down and thus not repeating. This background is still preliminary, though.

23rd October 2009

And with the Battle for Power - Makuta page, Battle for Power is done (fixed a few mistakes on the Battle for Power - Toa Nuva page, too)! But I am not yet sure whether I shall make The Battle for Mata Nui or BIONICLE: Mistika tomorrow, but chances are it will be The Battle for Mata Nui. Until you know tomorrow, though, have a nice time!
Also, thanks to JrMasterModelBuilder for pointing out a small mistake in the VNOG article I have fixed today.

22nd October 2009

The articles take more to write every day somehow. Today´s update is the Battle for Power - Toa Nuva page, complete with gameplay screenshot and in this case B.I.O. Codes. In addition to that, I have also added the name of the producer of Stop the Morbzakh!. Thanks to JrMasterModelBuilder for the information! I hope to write the Battle for Power - Makuta page tomorrow.

21st October 2009

The next three articles will be/are unique: Take a look at the Battle for Power article I have written today and you will see what I mean. Tomorrow I will write the Battle for Power - Toa Nuva article, where I will only list controls in the Technical details section and link to the Battle for Power article for requirements, and the download section will link to the main article. I look forward to seeing those articles finished! I am very proud of what I have done so far.

20th October 2009

That took a while! One article for seven games is not few, after all, but one article for each Command the Mahri game would have been pointless. And with this article we finish 2007, tomorrow you can expect the Battle for Power games! This is slowly coming to the end!

19th October 2009

Today´s update is all stuff regarding the Barraki Platform Game. In addition to that, something has been going on behind the scenes: I have restored the text file of that game and even found cheat codes for it! Read this for details. And tomorrow I finish the 2007 games with the Control the Mahri games, which will be featured in one article only- seven articles would be too much after all since I don´t want my site to become a mess.

18th October 2009

Nothing too special today either: Page, text and gameplay screenshot of Creeps from the Deep. Tomorrow I hope to make the page with text and banner for the Barraki Platform Game, or at least the banner. We will see what I will manage to do. See you tomorrow! I hope you had a nice weekend.

17th October 2009

Today´s update is small, sorry, just the banner for Creeps from the Deep, but tomorrow I hope to make the page and text for it and possibly a better banner for Piraka Attack.

16th October 2009

Let´s see...today we have banner, page, text and gameplay screenshot of the Free The Band games (a unique article in the way that it is about two games, also talks about a website and does not feature only one link to BIONICLEsector01). I also fixed a mistake I did on many pages: I wrote key arrows instead of arrow keys for some weird reason even I don´t understand. Anyway, since I have two weeks of holidays now, there will probably not be any days without update for quite a while. With the Free The Band games, the 2006 games are done and so we continue with 2007 tomorrow.

14th October 2009

Sorry once again for not having updated yesterday for the same reason as last week. Today we have: complete Inika Island Assault text, plus alternate text for all images. I also fixed a few links in the Piraka Attack and Matoran Escape texts and removed the background because I figured out it won´t work as I wanted it to work with a higher screen resolution. Don´t worry, though, there will be a better background in the final version.

12th October 2009

Today´s update is the text for VNOG. I have also added a little detail to the MNOG II text, updated the MNOG II credits and fixed minor things in the Introduction page and all the Technical details sections. No promises or previews for tomorrow- I still am not completely sure of what to do for tomorrow.

EDIT: Fixed a few things on the MNOG II and VNOG texts I had noticed later.

11th October 2009

Small update today: Banner for VNOG, page for VNOG created without text yet. My goal for tomorrow is the text for VNOG with ingame screenshot. Plus, I have added 7-Zip to the list of possible unzipping softwares. Thanks to JrMasterModelBuilder for the heads-up!
I have also noticed today that there is also a better way for image galleries than a Flickr slideshow. I might implement it for all game pages later.

10th October 2009

10th day of work on this project today! Today´s update is the text of Matoran Escape with gameplay screenshot, as promised. I will probably take a new gameplay screenshot of Stop the Morbuzakh! soon, too- it has weird quality for some reason. It is from BIONICLEsector01, and I suppose somebody with not so good graphic card took it.
Oh, and I have got yet another great idea, this time just for the homepage. I hope you will like it- it will give the page a more BIONICLE-like feeling. I cannot do it myself for reasons I will tell you when it is done, so I will ask JrMasterModelBuilder for help. It is something really minor, so I hope he will be able to help me. At least I know he has what I need, so that is why I am going to ask him in case you are wondering.
Perhaps I will also include a Flickr screenshot slideshow for each game.

EDIT: It worked without JrMasterModelBuilder´s help. Unless you have switched to mute, it will work. I might need his help later on, though- I just have to check a few things and think over whether it really is a good idea.

9th October 2009

Sorry for the lack of update in the past four days, but I was very busy with school stuff and did not have any time at all. But I hope today´s update makes up for it- personally I love it. The texts now show gameplay screenshots (thanks to BIONICLEsector01 for most of them) and link to a full-resolution pic when clicking on it. I have also modified the Technical details sections layout and added one tiny thing to the MNOG text. My goal for tomorrow is the text for Matoran Escape with gameplay screenshot.

5th October 2009

Now it´s one week ago that I started! Today: text for Piraka Attack. I have an idea for tomorrow which I hope you will like. I also added a few details to the MNOG, MNOG II and Stop the Morbuzakh! texts later.

4th October 2009

And today's update is...new Stop the Morbuzakh! banner (with exclamation mark!), and the banners and pages (yet without text) of Piraka Attack and Matoran Escape. The Matoran Escape banner took me quite a while. I have also added some producers I had forgot to the list in the Introduction section and put a note under the Stop the Morbuzakh! and Matoran Escape images in their corresponding pages. I hope to be able to write at least the text for Piraka Attack tomorrow, but no promises.

3rd October 2009

Not much stuff today, sorry. Until tomorrow´s update, you can check the text for the Stop the Morbuzakh page I have written today, though. I have also corrected all mistakes I could find and updated the text for MNOG II- again.

2nd October 2009

Finally wrote the text for MNOG II. I also changed a few minor things in the MNOG text and realized that Stop the Morbuzakh has an exclamation mark in the end. I changed that on the pages, but when I changed it on the image the quality sunk, so I will either let it as it is or make a new image later. Oh, and the Stop the Morbuzakh! text is coming tomorrow. I have also fixed a small mistake in the Introduction. And I have got a great idea, but if you are reading this you probably know it anyway. You can also simply check out the new article I have made in the News section.
In addition, the Production Journal is no hidden page anymore and I have added BETA to the site title. Wow, lots of progress today!

1st October 2009

Well, not that much progress today, but the image for Stop the Morbuzakh and creating the page for it isn´t that bad either. It took me quite a while to get a good shot, too. Anyway, I cannot wait for you to see this done!

30th September 2009

Quite a lot of progress today! I wrote the text for MNOG, made the image for MNOG II and made a preliminary background, plus some other drafts. Perhaps I will show them to you once this is live.
And now I wonder what the About section is for at all. Since there is not really any reason to make it, it has been removed today. It didn´t have any text yet anyway, so it doesn´t matter.

29th September 2009

New sections: News, The Games, Production Journal, Links and About. Text written for Home, News and Links sections. First image done for Mata Nui Online Game, of which the article has been started, too. I have also made new images for the side bar.

28th September 2009

Let's start! Work done today: Header, design, worked out page structure and Introduction section written! I look forward to continuing working tomorrow!

We show you logs of the production of this website for versions 2 and 3 so you can see how the changes progressed behind the scenes in this section.
