 Gameplay of Inika Island Assault
The last piece of work by Les Tanukis for LEGO and also the last game of 2006, Inika Island Assault was released in the end of 2006 and taken down in March 2009. This game featured very simple graphics, but yet very thrilling and addicting gameplay and music. The player takes control of a Toa Inika, destroying obstacles, Nektann and Rahi and freeing enslaved Matoran on their way. The four power-ups provided even more action into this non-stop shooter game in which you can really say "you snooze, you lose". Six levels, based on several elemental-based locations of Voya Nui with two stages and one boss per level on the final stage bring the player hours of fun trying to win the game (especially because there is no save feature nor known cheats), something which was impossible for a long time because a glitch which stopped the loading process prevented players from playing the high levels. Now, however, with this offline version, assembled by Crystal Matrix and brought back into full functionality by -IGNITION-, that glitch does not exist anymore so that you can enjoy this game even more than when it was online. Thanks to JrMasterModelBuilder you can also play the game without a web browser now.
A curious fact about this game is the large number of "easter eggs" in the game, like statues looking like Toa Hordika or Hordika heads saying "2006" or "Les Tanukis" in Matoran lettering- probably a way by Les Tanukis to perpetuate themselves in their last game for BIONICLE.
